Our optometrist takes the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.

Dr. Ara Gerard grew up in the small community of Elkton, SD. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in chemistry from South Dakota State University. In 2002, Dr. Gerard graduated with honors from Pacific University College of Optometry. Since then she has practiced in both the Minneapolis metro and St. Cloud area.
Dr. Gerard and her husband, Andy, have a young son, Jack, an active toddler who keeps them on their toes. Their family also consists of an unruly Old English bulldog, Lucy. In her spare time, she enjoys Minnesota sports, concerts, movies and DIY projects around the home.
